AI Literacy Support Instructor

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate Bridge to AI class sessions alongside the Primary Instructor to deliver responsible AI literacy content to high school students.
• Lead or co-lead designated portions of sessions, bringing energy and a practitioner's perspective to the material.
• Support individual students and small groups during hands-on activities, discussions, and applied learning exercises.
• Attend a mandatory 8-hour Train the Trainers program covering AI fundamentals and culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Collaborate with Northeastern University Oakland program staff to provide feedback on student engagement and instructional pacing.

Requirements

• Experience with STEM education or STEM-adjacent fields.
• Demonstrated professional or educational use of AI tools.
• Experience teaching or facilitating programs specifically for high school students.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a supporting instructional role.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with high school-aged youth.
• Familiarity with the Oakland community and a genuine interest in supporting local youth.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering programming at Northeastern University Oakland.
