AI Engineering Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AI-native, production-grade systems integrated into core decisioning platforms
• Build and operate scalable, secure, high-performance AI services
• Define architecture, system design, and engineering standards across teams
• Embed AI capabilities into business-critical workflows
• Contribute hands-on to development using modern backend technologies
• Lead, grow, and manage a team of engineers with clear ownership and accountability
• Coach and develop team members in both software engineering and AI capabilities
• Promote adoption of AI engineering practices, including model integration and lifecycle management

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering, particularly Java and backend systems
• Proven experience leading teams as a hands-on line manager
• Demonstrated success delivering scalable, production-grade systems in enterprise environments
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in production
• Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Understanding of AI system design, evaluation, and operational practices like LLMOps
• Experience in regulated or data-intensive environments
