AI Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of AI engineers in India to deliver secure, scalable GenAI and agentic AI solutions into production.
• Architect and implement AI solutions on GCP, leveraging Vertex AI (models, endpoints, pipelines, vector search/RAG, Agent Builder).
• Design agentic workflows, including tool calling and multi-step protocols, to automate retail media and insight use cases.
• Define and embed DevOps/MLOps practices, including CI/CD for models and prompts, infrastructure as code, and environment promotion.
• Implement robust observability for AI systems, including tracing, logging, metrics, and cost monitoring.
• Establish AI testing and evaluation strategies, such as red-teaming, regression testing, and human-in-the-loop feedback loops.
• Coach, mentor, and develop AI engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software, data, or ML engineering with hands-on experience building and operating LLM-based solutions in production.
• Proven experience leading AI/ML engineering teams or acting as a senior technical lead.
• Deep practical knowledge of GCP and Vertex AI (models, endpoints, pipelines, and RAG/vector search).
• Experience with Microsoft AI / Azure AI Foundry or similar platforms and modern agentic AI frameworks.
• Solid understanding of LLMs and foundation models, including transformers, tokenization, embeddings, and fine-tuning.
• Hands-on experience designing AI agents and integrating them with tools, APIs, and internal systems.
• Strong background in AI security, governance, and compliance, including handling sensitive data and access controls.
• Proficiency with DevOps/MLOps practices tailored for AI, such as model versioning and monitoring.
