AI Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level system analysis, design, and implementation of AI-driven applications and databases.
• Architect complex data flows across distributed services, APIs, and platforms to ensure enterprise-level interoperability.
• Drive performance and scalability enhancements by optimizing database architecture and implementing high-efficiency design patterns.
• Lead the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) using techniques such as prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.
• Mentor and train junior staff while providing subject matter expertise in software development methodologies and architecture standards.
• Ensure all AI deliverables comply with Information Security policies and Responsible AI principles, including privacy, bias mitigation, and safety.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, legal, and compliance, to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in application development, system architecture, and database management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (B.E./B.Tech or M.E./MTech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) design.
• Practical knowledge of vector databases, similarity search, and knowledge ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of building production-grade APIs and working within CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with model risk management, auditability, and implementing AI guardrails in regulated environments.
• Experience with event-driven and distributed systems.
