AI Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of AI engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and development
• Set technical direction for applied AI and ML engineering across product and platform areas
• Maintain hands-on involvement with architecture, implementation, code review, and system design
• Build AI systems that operate against structured engineering workflows and formal specifications
• Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to translate goals into technical plans
• Define engineering standards, operating rhythms, and execution models for the AI team

Requirements

• Direct experience in AI engineering, ML engineering, or AI infrastructure
• Experience as a technical lead, staff-level IC, or engineering manager for AI/ML teams
• Proven track record of shipping meaningful AI systems in production
• Strong hands-on technical ability in debugging and system design
• Experience with LLMs, RL, agents, model evaluation, or inference systems
• Ability to manage engineers while maintaining close technical involvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying agentic systems to EDA, semiconductor workflows, or hardware design
• Experience leading AI work in a startup or zero-to-one product environment
• Experience hiring and scaling small, senior engineering teams
