AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build applied AI features including services, workflows, and reusable components for LLM-powered automation and decision support
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prototype and move AI capabilities into production
• Support agentic workflows using tool/function calling and structured outputs
• Develop retrieval and knowledge systems using RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
• Improve AI quality and safety through evaluation suites, guardrails, and monitoring
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices in Python or Java
• Deploy AI services using AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Software Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience building AI or generative AI features connected to business workflows
• Strong coding proficiency in Python and/or Java
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud services
• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, and vector stores (e.g., OpenSearch, Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Experience with AI orchestration tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AWS Bedrock
• Experience designing prompts, schemas, and tool/function calls
• Familiarity with AI observability and evaluation tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Experience with multimodal AI systems (text, image, audio, video)
• Experience in commerce, fraud, payments, or trust and safety domains
