AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end for Snowflake Database Engineering products, including agentic workflows and coding harnesses
• Build enterprise-grade context engineering, function calling, tool schemas, and guardrails
• Design evaluation pipelines, create golden sets, and run experiments to optimize metrics
• Partner with product and infrastructure teams to translate customer problems into productionized improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience shipping AI features in production
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher
• Experience with data engineering pipelines (dbt, Airflow), data modeling, or retrieval systems
• Deep experience with agentic coding tools and model intuition
• Prior work on eval harnesses, LLM observability, or safety guardrails
