AI Engineer, Retrieval & Quality

Responsibilities

• Design and operate the retrieval pipeline serving licensed data to AI agents and models in real time using hybrid search, ranking, fusion, and re-ranking
• Build continuous evaluation harnesses to gate deploys on quality and surface regressions
• Translate research from the data science team into end-to-end production systems
• Define quality metrics and build dashboards to prove performance across customers and verticals
• Work across the stack from ingestion signals through embedding pipelines to API responses

Requirements

• Production experience with retrieval systems (search, ranking, recommendation, or RAG) at scale
• Strong expertise in evaluation methodologies, including offline/online testing and A/B experiments
• Proficiency with the full retrieval stack: embeddings, vector/lexical indexes, learning-to-rank, and knowledge graphs
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade systems rather than just conducting research
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-evolving environments with ill-defined problems
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python
• Valid Swedish work permit or similar eligibility
