AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build production AI systems by integrating LLMs into real product workflows, including prompt pipelines and tool integration
• Design reliable LLM architectures with safeguards, retries, and observability
• Develop evaluation and experimentation frameworks to measure model performance and prevent regressions
• Build retrieval and knowledge systems using chunking strategies, indexing, and vector search
• Collaborate with product and design teams to ship high-quality AI-driven features
• Maintain strong engineering standards through clean code, testing, and system architecture

Requirements

• At least five years of experience building production software systems
• Proven experience building and shipping systems around large language models in production
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases
• Strong understanding of LLM fundamentals, including transformers and attention mechanisms
• Experience building evaluation frameworks and datasets to guide model improvements
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in architecture, testing, and observability
