AI Engineer - Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions, including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI systems.
• Architect scalable backend systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native AI applications.
• Drive MLOps and GenAIOps best practices, including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner directly with clients to identify AI opportunities, lead technical discovery sessions, and translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Manage and mentor small to medium-sized engineering teams, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
• Support business development by shaping technical solutions, delivery plans, and project estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in AI engineering, MLOps, or applied AI delivery.
• Proven experience in a consulting, client-facing, or professional services environment.
• Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Strong understanding of backend engineering, APIs, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture.
• Fluency in English; fluency in Cantonese is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams or managing AI engineering workstreams.
• Expertise in multi-agent orchestration, memory architectures, and workflow automation.
• Experience delivering enterprise AI solutions in sectors like banking, insurance, or energy.
• Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI, and data privacy frameworks (GDPR, SOC2).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
