AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI systems including request intake agents and natural language query systems
• Integrate LLMs into applications using prompt engineering, tool use, and multi-turn conversation management
• Build semantic models and data schemas to enable natural language querying over enterprise data
• Develop full-stack AI applications using Next.js frontends and FastAPI/Python backends
• Implement observability and evaluation frameworks for AI systems, including conversation tracing and golden evals
• Connect AI systems to data pipelines ensuring freshness, quality, and lineage
• Write production-grade Python and TypeScript following strict type safety and code-first practices

Requirements

• Advanced Python expertise (async/await, Pydantic, FastAPI/Django/Flask)
• TypeScript/JavaScript expertise (React 18+, Next.js, App Router)
• Deep knowledge of LLM and prompt engineering (tool use, function calling, output validation)
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and ReAct patterns
• Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake (Snowpark, Cortex AI, vector search)
• Experience with semantic data modelling and designing data schemas
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or 3+ years of professional experience building AI/ML systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude and the Anthropic Python SDK
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex Analyst and writing semantic YAML
• Expertise in Semantic search and RAG (vector databases, embedding strategies)
• Experience with container orchestration and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Experience with event streaming like Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with data quality tools like dbt or Great Expectations
