AI Engineer and Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-assisted metadata harvesting and enrichment workflows to identify, extract, and normalize technical and business metadata.
• Develop agentic AI patterns and Generative AI workflows to support autonomous metadata exploration, summarization, and documentation generation.
• Own the end-to-end metadata harvesting plan, including scope, sequencing, extraction methods, and validation.
• Lead the integration of harvested metadata with semantic search patterns using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge graphs.
• Build and maintain scalable, reliable pipelines that integrate structured and unstructured data sources.
• Facilitate human-in-the-loop validation cycles with data stewards to ensure the accuracy and quality of AI-generated outputs.
• Define and implement quality metrics and validation controls to ensure metadata completeness and consistency.
• Mentor junior engineering team members on agentic AI patterns and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Active Secret or Public Trust security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in AI engineering, applied ML, or data/AI solution development in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI (LLMs) and Agentic AI architectures.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI governance and ethical/responsible AI practices in compliance-driven environments.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and interactive dashboards.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and sprint-based workflows.
• Prior consulting experience delivering AI-enabled solutions in complex enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of metadata catalog patterns and semantic discovery/lineage concepts.
