AI Engineer – Agentic Integrations (MCP/A2A/Python/APIs) AVP

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain MCP-based connectors to expose internal tools and data sources to AI agents
• Implement agent-to-agent interaction patterns for multi-step workflows and coordination
• Develop lightweight Python services and REST APIs to broker requests between intranets and agent runtimes
• Integrate internal platforms with enterprise AI gateways and external vendor agents
• Implement secure, safe-by-design engineering patterns including least-privilege access and prompt injection hardening
• Support data shaping, transformation, and retrieval/grounding patterns for knowledge enablement
• Instrument services with logging, metrics, and traces to support observability and production triage

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Python development skills
• Practical experience with REST APIs and JSON/schema-driven payloads
• Familiarity with authentication patterns such as OAuth and OIDC
• Understanding of agentic concepts including tool/function calling and multi-step orchestration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent communication patterns
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, and LLM system evaluation
• Knowledge of event-driven patterns, async processing, and modern observability tooling
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 ecosystem integrations
• GHR or HR domain experience
