About the Company

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. We are building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world, powering a deep software and hardware stack that orchestrates complex lab workflows.

Responsibilities

• Wrap internal APIs into clean, installable SDKs and MCP servers for agents and teammates
• Build and improve the lab-wide assistant, including system prompts, skills, and API integrations
• Automate manual business processes into agents and workflows (procurement, invoicing, reporting)
• Aggregate experiment, commercial, and operational data to surface actionable insights
• Package and document powerful capabilities to make them the default tools for the company
• Set up evals, observability, and monitoring to ensure model performance and catch regressions

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic patterns (function calling, tool use, MCP, retrieval)
• Experience building real systems rather than simple chat wrappers
• Strong data fluency with SQL and experience in data analysis/BI
• Ability to work cross-functionally with lab scientists, operations, and commercial teams
• Fast prototyping skills with a focus on maintainable, high-quality code
• Genuine interest in biology and the intersection of AI and physical experimentation
