AI Emerging Risks Analyst

Responsibilities

• Map and prioritize emerging risks at the frontier of AI through upstream and external scanning
• Design and maintain harm taxonomies to provide foresight regarding AI misuse
• Detect and deep dive into emerging abuse patterns, including state actor misuse and criminal activity
• Translate findings into clear, ranked risk lists and concrete mitigation proposals for product and policy teams
• Build early warning capabilities by defining core metrics and signals for harm prevalence and severity
• Produce strategic intelligence estimates and run scenario analyses to explore future AI harms
• Shape safety readiness for new products by contributing to launch reviews and developing reusable playbooks

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in trust and safety, integrity, security, policy analysis, or intelligence work
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex online harms such as coordinated abuse, scams, and influence operations
• Strong analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative inputs (OSINT, incident reports, metrics)
• Experience designing risk frameworks, taxonomies, and prioritization models
• Understanding of foresight methodologies including horizon scanning and scenario planning
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, and legal teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing executive-ready briefs
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
