AI DevOps/Cloud Engineer (MLOps)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the full AWS cloud infrastructure for the AI and Data function, including VPCs, IAM, networking, and security.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, implementing GitOps principles for automated and repeatable releases.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) environments to support scalable model training, batch processing, and real-time inference.
• Partner with ML engineers to deploy models into production, managing the full ML lifecycle including packaging, versioning, and rollout strategies.
• Implement end-to-end observability across infrastructure and ML model health using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Set up and manage workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Evolve the MLOps practice by implementing drift detection, data quality checks, and automated retraining triggers.
• Ensure all systems meet strict security and compliance standards regarding secrets management and encryption.

Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Proven track record of building cloud infrastructure from scratch.
• Expert-level AWS skills (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, SageMaker, IAM, VPC).
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to act as the primary infrastructure owner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in AI/ML infrastructure or MLOps.
• Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
• Familiarity with Azure.
• Experience with MLOps tools like MLflow, Weights and Biases, or Evidently AI.
