AI Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and grow the software development team, including hiring and performance management
• Own team execution, quality, and cadence, including sprint structure and release processes
• Partner with the CTO to translate company priorities into a sequenced, prioritized roadmap
• Act as the primary interface between Labs software and functional leaders in Operations, Engineering, and Finance
• Lead AI adoption by evaluating new models and frameworks and shipping practical AI agents
• Set technical standards, own architecture decisions, and maintain high code review practices
• Ensure shipped tools drive measurable results through user feedback and adoption tracking

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of direct software team management experience
• Proven track record of shipping internal tools, web applications, or operational software
• Experience with prioritization, sprint cadence, and release management
• Strong technical foundation in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, React, or Vue
• Proficiency in relational databases, SQL, and REST APIs
• Deep fluency in applied AI, including LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and tool calling
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operationally complex environment
