AI Deployment Strategist

About the Company

August is building the autopilot for legal services. We believe that in five years, more than 80% of legal work will pass through a model before it ever reaches a human. Our mission is to make high-quality legal work accessible and affordable for everyone by helping law firms and in-house teams restructure their delivery models around AI.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client organizations to run structured AI discovery and map workflows
• Conduct one-on-one sessions with lawyers and legal ops staff to identify AI opportunities
• Run generalist AI training sessions to help users rethink their workflows
• Map and automate legal workflows such as document review, drafting, and matter management
• Build lightweight proofs-of-concept to demonstrate value quickly
• Own the go-live process for AI solutions from kickoff through full adoption
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders
• Translate field insights into product feedback for the engineering team

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in consulting, legal ops, client success, product, or a client-facing tech role
• Strong product sense and business acumen
• Ability to earn trust with diverse stakeholders from managing partners to analysts
• Comfort with ambiguity and a natural curiosity for problem-solving
• Excitement about working in person at our NYC office

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in law or legal services
• Familiarity with workflow automation or no-code tools like Zapier, Make, or n8n
