AI Deployment Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Craft and refine the strategic vision and operating model for the Startups AI Deployment Engineering team
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing technical ICs supporting startup customers
• Help startups move from early experimentation to production usage by advising on architecture and identifying technical blockers
• Partner with Sales to accelerate adoption and long-term account growth
• Represent the technical voice of startup customers by synthesizing feedback on developer experience and model performance
• Translate recurring needs into repeatable playbooks, reference architectures, and internal tooling
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for founder- and CTO-level conversations
• Partner across Product, Engineering, and Research teams to improve startup support

Requirements

• Proven experience founding, scaling, or operating within early-stage startups in technical leadership roles
• Track record of building and leading technical, customer-facing teams in high-growth environments
• Strong technical depth in APIs, platform products, AI/ML systems, and developer workflows
• Experience creating scalable operating models and repeatable mechanisms
• Ability to work directly with founders, CTOs, and technical executives
• Strong judgment regarding strategic customer engagement versus scalable segment support
• Commitment to the safe and beneficial development of AI
