AI Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Convert complex AI/ML research models into robust, maintainable, and scalable production systems.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to embed models into analytical instruments and imaging platforms.
• Build and optimize automated deployment pipelines using internal DevOps tooling.
• Optimize models for latency and hardware constraints to improve processing efficiency.
• Implement observability frameworks to monitor model performance and ensure data quality in the field.
• Act as a bridge between data scientists and product development teams to translate requirements into engineering specifications.

Requirements

• Masters with 5+ years of experience or a PhD with 1+ year of experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering.
• Strong experience with MLOps and CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience deploying AI models via containers or embedded systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into embedded systems with a focus on usability.
• Knowledge of model-acceleration frameworks for real-time feedback.
• Understanding of microscopy or life sciences workflows.
