AI Data Trainer & AI Model Optimization Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and optimize AI models for document intelligence, entity extraction, and compliance automation.
• Build and maintain training pipelines, datasets, evaluation frameworks, and automated workflows.
• Improve and evaluate Small Language Models (SLMs), FastText classifiers, and LLM-assisted workflows.
• Design domain intelligence frameworks that support regulated industries and compliance standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Establish model quality metrics and validation processes to improve accuracy and explainability.
• Analyze production behavior and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement model improvements.

Requirements

• Experience working with NLP, document intelligence, or machine learning systems.
• Proven track record in developing, training, and optimizing machine learning models (classification, extraction, or retrieval).
• Strong Python development skills and experience with machine learning frameworks and data pipelines.
• Experience with MLOps practices, data annotation, and dataset management.
• Deep understanding of modern AI technologies including transformer models, RAG architectures, SLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platforms or OCR.
• Knowledge of semantic search, vector databases, or enterprise content management.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms such as Azure AI, AWS AI, or Google AI.
• Experience with explainable AI frameworks and model governance.
• Background working with AI solutions in highly regulated industries.
