About the role
Responsibilities
- Build frameworks to understand AI model performance, user behavior, and product health
- Analyze AI model outputs across user cohorts to identify quality gaps and create evaluations
- Partner with engineering and product to define quality metrics for AI-generated content
- Develop statistical models and frameworks to empower product teams
- Design and analyze large-scale A/B tests and experiments with statistical rigor
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a data scientist at product-focused tech companies
- Experience managing or mentoring other data scientists
- Strong statistical foundations and experience with large-scale A/B testing
- Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt and Snowflake
- Experience working with AI/ML products, specifically LLMs or generative AI
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Perspective on how agentic coding is transforming the data science role
