AI & Data Science Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, validation, and deployment of high-value AI use cases to transform business operations and patient services for AstraZeneca France.
• Structure, prioritize, and manage the local AI initiative portfolio in alignment with strategic and operational goals.
• Coordinate with global teams to consolidate and implement a local roadmap for France.
• Drive AI initiatives from ideation to delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and business experts.
• Act as a technical expert to challenge the methodology, performance metrics, and robustness of AI solutions from both local vendors and global teams.
• Communicate progress, value, and key learnings to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Maintain active environmental scanning of emerging AI trends, including generative and agentic AI.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading Data or AI initiatives and managing project portfolios.
• Fluency in both French and English (written and oral).
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Data Science methodologies, and AI applications.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data models to drive decision-making.
• Excellent communication, influence, and change management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an international, matrixed, or highly regulated environment.
• Background or knowledge within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Sensitivity to AI governance, compliance, risk management, and ethics.
