AI, Data & IT Governance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, author, and maintain enterprise AI, IT, and Data governance policies, standards, and control frameworks.
• Lead IT audit activities and control testing, including ITGC, application controls, and access controls.
• Drive remediation of audit findings with clear ownership and defined SLAs.
• Evaluate technology initiatives for risk, compliance, and alignment with architecture governance standards.
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives related to AI, IT, and Data management.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership regarding governance performance and risk program outcomes.
• Partner with engineering, security, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC, SOX, and other regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of practical experience in IT audit, IT governance, or risk and controls (Big 4 experience preferred).
• Strong experience authoring policies, operational SOPs, and managing control gap remediation.
• Practical knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management (GITC, SOX, SOC, ISO, HITRUST).
• Technical proficiency across Active Directory, Databases, Server/OS, and Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, OneTrust, Snowflake, Salesforce, or Vanta.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical or business field.
• Deep understanding of PHI, PII, and PCI concepts and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience working at the intersection of emerging AI technologies and enterprise governance.
