About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Data Science teams by providing comprehensive ML environments and supporting code implementation from data ingestion to model deployment.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product owners to seamlessly integrate ML solutions into products.
  • Deploy and manage robust MLOps pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, monitoring, and model retraining.
  • Profile, debug, and optimize the performance, latency, and resource consumption of production models and data pipelines.
  • Partner with the MLOps platform team to translate product needs into feature requests for continuous platform improvement.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with other engineers within the team.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and teamwork to achieve sprint objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, specifically focused on deploying and scaling machine learning systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Python, including the ability to refactor existing code and implement best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and version control (Git).
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for deploying and managing scalable ML models.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Airflow, AWS SageMaker, and container tools like Docker or Podman.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python environments and dependency management tools like poetry or uv.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
