About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish, update, and maintain AI cybersecurity governance frameworks, policies, and operational guardrails
  • Define processes for identifying, assessing, and registering cybersecurity risks unique to AI models, training data pipelines, and third-party integrations
  • Monitor and interpret emerging regional and global AI and financial regulations to ensure policy alignment
  • Collaborate with AI developers, MLOps engineers, legal counsel, and data privacy officers to integrate governance without hindering innovation
  • Design and present AI risk posture dashboards and compliance metrics to risk committees and senior executive leadership
  • Act as a champion for secure AI adoption across the institution

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years in cybersecurity governance, risk management, or compliance (GRC)
  • At least 2 years of experience explicitly focused on AI/ML systems or advanced data architectures
  • Expert knowledge of AI-specific risk landscapes, including model vulnerabilities and ethical governance
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, or MITRE ATLAS
  • Proven track record of drafting enterprise-grade technical policies and procedures
  • Experience working within regulated financial services or tier-1/tier-2 banking environments
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to defend policy decisions to senior leadership
  • Prior experience in a client-facing professional services or consultancy capacity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certifications such as CRISC, CGEIT, CISA, or CISSP
  • Specialized credentials in AI ethics, data governance, or cloud security
  • Conceptual understanding of the machine learning lifecycle and cloud-native environments (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience with risk quantification methodologies like the FAIR framework
