AI Architect/Principal AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Colleague AI initiatives, including architecture and design for Sierra PoC and Claude roll-outs.
• Drive the development of agentic AI solutions and multi-agent systems.
• Consult on the Colleague AI backlog to ensure solutions are secure, cost-efficient, and fit for purpose.
• Define and embed AI engineering standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Mentor and uplift the Automation Practice team to build in-house AI engineering capabilities.
• Represent the Automation & AI Practice in cross-functional forums to translate strategy into delivery roadmaps.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on technical leadership experience at a Principal or Lead level.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, agentic architectures, and multi-agent systems within regulated environments.
• Proven experience building agentic solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio/Foundry or AWS Bedrock/AgentCore.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Experience working across Microsoft and AWS cloud ecosystems, including LLM gateway patterns and cost controls.
• Strong understanding of AI testing disciplines (accuracy, hallucination, bias) and AI governance/risk (DPIA, data classification).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage from board-level to engineer-level.
