Agriculture Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations including soil tilling, planting, irrigation, and crop storage
• Manage and schedule staff, determining manpower requirements and assigning specific field duties
• Monitor workers to ensure safety and efficiency, addressing grievances and mediating disputes
• Operate farm machinery such as trucks and tractors for fieldwork and transportation
• Prepare and purchase necessary farm supplies, including insecticides, tools, and machine parts
• Inspect crops and fields to monitor growth stages, maturity, and expected yields
• Maintain and oversee the repair of farm machinery and equipment
• Train workers in fieldwork techniques, safety procedures, and pest/disease identification
• Review and verify reports regarding payroll, production, crop yield, and equipment status

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural supervision or farm management
• Strong knowledge of crop production, pest management, and farm equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and farm management software
• Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
