About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire and develop relationships with prospects and high-value small business customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, and Wealth Partners
- Acquire new Agriculture customer relationships through industry events and community involvement
- Maintain and grow an allocated portfolio of agriculture clients
- Provide specialized agriculture expertise and financial advice to business owners
- Prepare and ensure all documentation adheres to Bank policies and authorization limits
Requirements
- Experience in Canadian Agriculture (educational or professional)
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
- Strong knowledge of business financial statements, specifically for the Agriculture segment
- Proven success in sales, marketing, and business development
- Ability to build and maintain key professional relationships
- Possession of a vehicle for significant travel to customer farms and trade shows
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of competitor offerings and alternate financing sources
- Understanding of economic conditions affecting the agriculture segment
