About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivators, forklifts, and other agricultural equipment
- Perform mechanized fieldwork including tilling, planting, cultivating, irrigating, spraying, and harvesting
- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, drip tubing, and water lines
- Assist with manual crop production including weeding, thinning, pruning, and harvesting by hand
- Clean, grade, sort, weigh, pack, and load harvested products
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, packing facilities, and restrooms
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and pesticide safety protocols
Requirements
- Minimum of three months of experience operating agricultural equipment
- Experience working with leafy greens, herbs, or similar vegetable crops
- Ability to safely operate tractors, planters, sprayers, and cultivators
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures ranging from 10°F to 105°F
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
