Agriculture Admissions Recruiter

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to increase enrollment in agricultural and environmental science majors and minors.
• Represent the university at national and local college fairs, high school visits, and community events.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, and community organizations.
• Coordinate campus visits, open houses, and recruitment programs.
• Guide prospective students through the application and enrollment process via email, phone, and virtual platforms.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and analyze recruitment data to prepare outcome reports.
• Collaborate with academic departments to promote specific programs and career opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or a related science from an accredited institution.
• Experience with student services, admissions, recruitment, or outreach activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel for recruitment activities.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for recruitment events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically in higher education admissions or recruitment.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate or Salesforce.
• Experience organizing large-scale events or outreach programs.
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
