Agile Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Own Jira boards, backlogs, epics, and sprints to track security and compliance workstreams
• Maintain team documentation in Confluence, including working agreements and audit-ready process evidence
• Partner with the IT & Security Programs Office to align sprint delivery with program timelines
• Identify, escalate, and remove impediments affecting team throughput
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles to drive continuous improvement
• Track and report sprint metrics such as velocity, burndown, and cycle time to leadership
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and support backlog grooming

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator
• Hands-on expertise with Jira, Confluence, and Rovo
• Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience partnering with Technical Project or Program Managers
• Ability to track and communicate delivery metrics and risks to leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
• Experience supporting security or compliance domains (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with IT service management or GRC tooling
• Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
• Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) status
