About the role

Responsibilities

  • Foster youth development in an after-school setting through enrichment activities aligned with program Priority Outcomes
  • Provide supervision and care for an assigned group of elementary students
  • Serve as a positive role model and support the Site Director and Area Directors in daily operations
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students

Requirements

  • Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
  • Minimum age of 17; high school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Passion for working with elementary school-aged children
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., during the school calendar year
  • Earn and maintain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Pass mandatory background and sex offender check
  • Valid driver’s license or ID and dependable transportation
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some post-secondary training
  • Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children
  • Spanish-speaking ability

Benefits

  • Part-time non-exempt position averaging 17–20 hours per week
