After School Staff

Responsibilities

• Foster youth development in an after-school setting for elementary students
• Lead students in enrichment activities aligned with program Priority Outcomes
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to children in the community
• Support the After School team under the direction of Area Directors

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• At least 17 years of age; high school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., during the school calendar year
• Earn and maintain CPR/First Aid certification
• Pass mandatory background and sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or ID and dependable transportation
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Some post-secondary training
• Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children
• Spanish-speaking ability
