After School Staff

Responsibilities

• Foster youth development in an after-school setting for elementary students
• Lead students in enrichment activities aligned with program Priority Outcomes
• Provide direct supervision and care for assigned groups of students
• Support site leadership and collaborate with After School Area Directors

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• At least 17 years of age
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Passion for working with elementary school-aged children
• Able to work Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification
• Pass mandatory background and sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or ID and dependable transportation
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Some post-secondary training
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children
• Spanish-speaking ability
