After School Site Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee afterschool programs at elementary schools within Leander ISD
• Guide staff and impact children from Preschool to 5th grade through games, songs, and sports
• Design exciting program curriculum and maintain supplies for activities
• Motivate and train staff through unique and enriching experiences
• Serve as a model site for new hires and conduct site visits to provide feedback
• Manage and develop a team of 5+ counselors in a mentor role
• Connect with parents during pick-up regarding program activities and student progress
• Maintain accurate record keeping and school checklists to ensure safety and communication

Requirements

• 6 months of licensed childcare experience or experience in an accredited school
• 30 clock hours of training in child/youth development received in the last two months
• Ability to meet Texas Health & Human Services Operational Director certification requirements within 30 days
• Minimum age of 21 with a High School diploma (Associate's degree preferred)
• Valid Texas Driver's License and proof of insurability
• Experience supervising and motivating a team
• Budgetary and programmatic experience
• Ability to pass a drug test and background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a previous YMCA leadership role or licensed childcare
