About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee afterschool programs at elementary schools within Georgetown ISD
  • Guide staff and impact the lives of children from Preschool to 5th grade
  • Design exciting program curriculum and maintain supplies for activities
  • Lead games, songs, sports, and special events
  • Manage and develop a team of 2-4 counselors
  • Connect with parents regarding program activities and student progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate safety records
  • Participate in weekly department meetings

Requirements

  • 6 months of licensed childcare experience or experience in an accredited school
  • 30 clock hours of training in child/youth development (or willingness to earn via YMCA within first week)
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • High School diploma
  • Experience supervising and motivating a team
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background checks
