After School Science Instructor

Responsibilities

• Actively engage and motivate students during science lessons and activities
• Implement hands-on science curriculum through engaging experiments and STEM projects
• Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking
• Ensure a safe learning environment by following proper procedures during all science activities
• Collaborate with administration to manage student progress and behavioral expectations
• Utilize company-wide digital platforms for administrative tasks like attendance and incident reports
• Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and science supplies

Requirements

• Enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor's program in Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
• Punctuality and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching science, STEM, robotics, engineering, or coding
• At least one year of teaching experience, preferably with elementary-aged students
• Experience leading hands-on science experiments or project-based learning

Benefits

• $40 per hour while leading classes
