Responsibilities

• Reliably teach individual piano, guitar, drums, and/or voice lessons to students on a weekly basis
• Check in regularly with parents concerning student progress and recommendations
• Offer recitals as planned by the After School Music Program manager
• Maintain effective communication with the After School Music Program manager and staff
• Foster strong partnerships with families through timely and supportive communication

Requirements

• Experience teaching music to Grades K-8 (2+ years preferred)
• Demonstrated confidence in differentiation of instruction and cultural competency
• Commitment to equitable and anti-racist teaching practices
• Understanding of the social-emotional needs of girls
• Passion for teaching music and a desire to work in a gender-inclusive girls’ school
• Flexible, creative, and possessing a growth mindset

Benefits

• Compensation of $75 per hour
