After School K-4 Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children's play and projects
• Assist in group activities and transitions
• Prepare needed materials, supplies, classroom, and snack materials
• Observe playground and other activities to ensure safety at all times
• Maintain a neat and organized classroom and play area
• Assist in safe arrival and dismissal of students
• Report any problems occurring with children to the director
• Circulate amongst students to build relationships
• Support employee childcare during teacher workdays

Requirements

• High school degree
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to maintain a safe, positive, and healthy social atmosphere
• Ability to manage minor behavioral incidents
• Careful attention to children's needs

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of previous professional childcare experience
