After School Debate Instructor

Responsibilities

• Actively engage and motivate students during debate lessons and activities
• Develop and implement engaging lessons focused on public speaking, persuasive communication, and critical thinking
• Facilitate age-appropriate debates, discussions, and collaborative speaking activities
• Encourage respectful communication and teamwork among students
• Collaborate with administration to manage student progress and behavioral expectations
• Utilize company-wide digital platforms for administrative tasks like attendance and incident reports
• Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and fun learning environment

Requirements

• Enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor's program in Education, Communications, English, Political Science, Theater, Journalism, or a related field
• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
• Strong public speaking and communication skills
• Punctuality and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching debate, speech, Model UN, mock trial, theater, or public speaking
• At least one year of teaching experience, preferably with elementary-aged students
• Experience developing age-appropriate lesson plans and facilitating group discussions
