After School Coding Instructor

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging robotics and coding lesson plans using project-based learning
• Lead the championship-winning Robotics team through technical challenges and competition preparation
• Provide 1:1 technical support and logical troubleshooting for scholars
• Partner with the Robotics Instructor to deliver lessons aligned with FIRST Robotics standards
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized coding lab environment
• Monitor scholar progress and provide reports on technical skills and computational thinking
• Supervise scholars during sessions, meals, and field trips, including overnight competitions

Requirements

• At least 2 years of teaching or career experience in Middle or High School coding
• Associates Degree or at least 60 college credits in Engineering or a science-related field
• 2 years of experience working with Middle or High School students in after-school or camp settings
• Experience implementing project-based learning lesson plans
• Experience working with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic populations
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
