After School Club Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, creative, and stimulating environment for children's play experiences
• Assist the Club Manager in planning a programme of activities including arts, crafts, games, sports, and music
• Provide supervision and encouragement to ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils
• Form and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children, staff, and parents
• Adhere to all school policies, standards, and health and safety guidelines
• Manage administrative tasks such as registering children, processing forms, and handling petty cash
• Follow first aid procedures and maintain accurate records of accidents and treatments
• Help keep the building and play areas clean, tidy, and accessible

Requirements

• NVQ2 or equivalent qualification in Playworking or Childcare
• Experience working in a school setting or a similar childcare role
• Experience supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Knowledge of first aid procedures
• Willingness to undertake further training to meet student needs
