AFSIM Mission-Level Modeling & Simulation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Build, run, and evaluate high-fidelity mission-level simulations using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
• Conduct mission-level modeling, scenario development, and kill-chain dynamics analysis
• Develop simulation-based study plans, run matrices, and analytical reports to support DoD program decision-making
• Perform AFSIM scenario scripting and data post-processing/analysis
• Support platform assessments, operational scenario development, and mission effectiveness analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Operations Research, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Active security clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• 2-5 years of professional experience in modeling & simulation or operations analysis
• 1-3 years of direct AFSIM experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for automation and visualization
• Experience with AFSIM associated toolsets (e.g., HAL)
• Understanding of military platforms, TTPs, CONOPS, and mission-level concepts (air combat, ISR, electronic warfare, or electromagnetic spectrum operations)
• Familiarity with DoD Modeling & Simulation (M&S) processes, including Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A)
