Affordable Housing Compliance and Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and centralized management, compliance, and operational duties for affordable housing properties
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including HUD and NHHFA rules
• Prepare tenant data for initial, annual, and interim certifications, including required notices
• Input annual data into systems and complete all recertification and interim tasks
• Visit properties weekly to collect signatures and meet with tenants for annual recertifications
• Collect rent checks at properties during the first and third week of each month
• Assist the Director of Affordable Housing with move-ins, transfers, and administrative support
• Manage tenant disputes, complaints, and emergencies, informing the Director as appropriate

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a business office environment
• High school diploma or equivalency credential
• Excellent writing and general office skills
• Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail and dependability
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for required travel
• Ability to pass a successful criminal record check
• Strong desire to assist elderly and/or disabled persons in a subsidized housing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• COS Certificate (may be required for the position)
