About the role
Responsibilities
- Support engineering efforts to design and build prototypes for core technology
- Finalize current prototype CAD designs and enhance through precise tolerancing
- Finalize mechanism designs and deliver detailed CAD drawings for manufacturing
- Collaborate with vendors to source components
- Support finite element analysis (FEA) simulations for the system
- Create models for current prototypes and full-scale systems
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree at an accredited institution
- Recent college graduate or graduating within the last semester
- Experience in solid modeling and drawing release of structures or actuator mechanisms
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks)
- U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)
- Ability to maintain or obtain Government Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Mechanical FEA tools
- Experience with CNC Machining or Additive Manufacturing
- Passion for space-grade components and spacecraft system development
