Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Support engineering efforts to design and build prototypes for core technology
• Finalize current prototype CAD designs and enhance through precise tolerancing
• Finalize mechanism designs and deliver detailed CAD drawings for manufacturing
• Collaborate with vendors to source components
• Support finite element analysis (FEA) simulations for the system
• Create models for current prototypes and full-scale systems

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree at an accredited institution
• Recent college graduate or graduating within the last semester
• Experience in solid modeling and drawing release of structures or actuator mechanisms
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks)
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)
• Ability to maintain or obtain Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with Mechanical FEA tools
• Experience with CNC Machining or Additive Manufacturing
• Passion for space-grade components and spacecraft system development
