Aerospace Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Support the acquisition and management of assigned commodities, focusing on cost reduction, source selection, and qualification.
• Manage stocking programs, subcontracting, and the preparation of RFPs/RFQs.
• Negotiate and manage contracts in conjunction with the Regional Purchasing Office and Buying Managers.
• Prepare forecasts and cost analyses for assigned commodities.
• Maintain standard costs, contracts, and government cost estimates while resolving invoice matching issues.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Work cross-functionally to support new bearing designs and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher.
• 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Demand Chain management.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GEAC, XA, COGNOS, and BPO.
