Aerospace QC Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings, orders, route cards, and technical specifications
• Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems
• Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure FAA compliance
• Verify functional operation and inspect for FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, and IPT personnel
• Coordinate inspection workload and lead continuous improvement activities
• Ensure proper use and storage of area tools and equipment
• Participate in safety-related event investigations and risk reduction

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in quality inspection or aircraft manufacturing (1-5 years depending on level)
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics
• Competency in using basic shop tools and equipment
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Valid driver's license may be required
• Participation in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in CATIA
• Experience with MRB signature authority
• Experience providing on-the-job training for subordinate inspectors
