Aeronautical Production Specialist

Responsibilities

• Extract, analyze, and maintain Airfield Foundation Data (AFD) features from imagery and other geospatial sources
• Identify, collect, validate, and update airfield features including runways, taxiways, and navigational aids
• Perform data acquisition, evaluation, analysis, and maintenance within NGA-defined collection areas
• Conduct mensuration activities to support accurate feature extraction and geospatial positioning
• Execute quality control and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with NGA standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation supporting production processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and improve workflows

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Active CI Polygraph or eligibility to obtain and maintain one
• 1–3 years of experience in geospatial feature collection and validation
• Basic knowledge of airfield infrastructure and aviation features
• Experience performing imagery analysis and mensuration activities
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of geospatial principles, coordinate systems, and elevation models
• Knowledge of imagery sources and sensor capabilities
• Experience reading and writing XML
• Familiarity with NGA production workflows and quality standards
• Experience using GIS or geospatial production tools
• Degree in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, or Aviation
