AEGIS Based Defense Sr Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in Integration Exchanges to resolve design and interface challenges for interdependent capabilities
• Provide technical expertise for the development and upgrading of interceptors, radar systems, and launcher systems
• Support the integration of various components into a cohesive system-of-systems
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks in collaboration with stakeholders
• Support all phases of testing, including planning, preparation, execution, and analysis
• Perform deep analysis to document and justify requirements for Aegis Sea-Based and Aegis Shore Facility Weapon Systems
• Implement assessment processes and approve key configuration-managed artifacts
• Drive the resolution of technical uncertainties by tracking Test Observation Reports, Proposed Revisions, and Software Change Reports
• Leverage digital tools including DOORS, Digital Model Reviews, and Confluence to manage documentation

Requirements

• US Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance
• Master’s Degree in a STEM field
• 12+ years of professional experience
• Direct experience with the Aegis Weapon System
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and collaborative tools such as Jira and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems Baselines
• Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
• Technical expertise in Fleet operations, systems engineering, or Aegis Qualifications
